Non-notable reality television contestant; competed on, but did not win, Survivor. Academic credentials also appear to be non-notable. Bgsu98 (talk) 03:42, 25 July 2022 (UTC)

- Can you walk us through how her academic credentials are non-notable? Dnllnd (talk) 12:45, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- Back to add that based on WP:PROF she meets 6 without much issue. She's frequently cited in the media, including coverage as recently as the past week.--Dnllnd (talk) 12:54, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- WP:PROF#C6 requires that the subject be the head of a major university or major scholarly society. Our article says nothing resembling this. Maybe you mean #C7? —David Eppstein (talk) 16:29, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, I did mean #C7. My apologies and thanks for the catch. Dnllnd (talk) 18:39, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- Only three references to media coverage are cited on the same topic. Can we bring up some more to ensure criterium 7 is met? JamesKH76 (talk) 17:05, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
- How many more are needed? There's only a caution against local media in the #C7 guidelines. The ones that are already there aren't local media - they're large, notable publications. The person who nominated the page for deletion never explained why there was a problem as we've already covered that she meets academic notability, based on WP:PROF, in addition to having been on TV. - Comment I haven't participated at AFD:PROF in a bit, but I think she should meet C5 as the holder of a named chair at Vanderbilt. Our article is out of date in this respect but it's described here. Larry Hockett (Talk) 15:39, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- Keep as she now meets NPROF #5 per Larry's comment. Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 16:11, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- Keep. The new information demonstrating a pass of WP:PROF#C5 makes this clear. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:07, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
